Nat Stanton

Nat Stanton, a dedicated piano teacher with a deep-rooted passion for music, was born and raised in Manoa. Though he began his piano studies later than most, at the age of 14, his journey has been marked by exceptional achievements and a commitment to nurturing students' musical talents.

 

Nat earned his bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa under Dr. Thomas Yee, followed by a master's degree in the same field studying with Dr. Andrew Cooperstock from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His extensive education and experience have equipped him with a profound understanding of piano technique and performance.

 

Specializing in tailoring his teaching approach to each student's unique strengths and areas for improvement, Nat is known for his ability to adapt his methods to suit individual needs. His teaching philosophy emphasizes a solid foundation in technique while creating a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment.

 

In addition to his role as a piano teacher on weekends, Nat balances a full-time career in commercial real estate and part-time service with the Hawaii Army National Guard. His diverse interests extend beyond music; he enjoys computer and tech-related activities, as well as hiking and exploring the great outdoors in his spare time.
